Mays, a renowned author and                                                                                                          scholar who has served in many administrative

                                                                                        and faculty positions at colleges and universities in                                                                                              Germany Georgia, North Carolina, Washington                                                                                                      DC, and Maryland, is the founder and president of                                                                                                BBC&TS.  Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, Dr. Mays resides in the Washington DC metropolitan area.

Dr. Mays is a highly decorated retired military commander, having served more than 26 years in the Army. He served in combat theaters of operations spanning the Vietnam to Operation Desert Storm in Iraq.

​

Dr. Mays has earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Master of Business Administration. He went on to earn several doctorate degrees, including a Ph.D. in Education, a Doctor of Divinity, a Doctor of Ministry, and a Doctor of Humane Letters. Some of the books that he has authored include "Knowing Your Place in the Ministry," "Power in the Pulpit Using the ATM Method," "Rekindling the Fire in Your Relationship," "Leave, Cleave, and Become One," "Harvest the Financial Breakthrough with the Mays Method," and "How to Cope with Things You Can't Change".

The mission of  WPGR, in short, is a gospel music and teaching radio station that is called by God and orchestrated by the Holy Spirit to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to invite all to faith and to a personal relationship with Him.  It is our desire to build up the body of Christ through sound Biblical teaching and to draw the people of God together into a common unity of His Lordship.

 

Encouraging and discipling are fundamental to this ministry work, and we pray that our broadcast will reach beyond the church to those, within the world community, who are seeking to know the truth.

 

WPGR is for those who are seeking answers and practical steps to living life to the fullest as God intended through personal Christian faith.
